Beta Program Terms
Last updated: 2026-05-09
Version: 0.1-draft
1. About the beta
HysonLearn is currently in private alpha. That means it is being shared with a small, invited group of households so we can learn how real families use it before we open it up more widely. These Beta Program Terms apply to anyone using the service while it is in alpha or any later beta phase. They sit alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
2. Beta software, beta expectations
The service is a work in progress. You may see:
- features that change, move, or disappear without notice;
- bugs, crashes, slow pages, and the occasional broken lesson;
- experiments that are turned on for some users and not others.
3. Data may be wiped
Because we are still shaping the data model, we may need to delete some or all alpha datawhen we move from alpha to general release, or between major milestones. We will tell you in advance if we are going to do this. If you want to keep a record of your child's progress you can ask us for an export at any time.
4. No service-level commitment
The alpha service has no service-level agreement. We do not promise any uptime, response time, or restoration time. We aim for the service to be reliable enough to be useful, but if it is down for a while during the alpha that is normal.
5. Free of charge
The alpha is free. We will not charge you anything for using HysonLearn during the alpha. If we introduce paid plans in future, we will tell you in advance and you will not be charged unless you separately and explicitly agree.
6. Feedback
We love hearing what you think. If you give us feedback — bug reports, ideas, criticism, or anything else — we may use it to improve HysonLearn without owing you anything in return. We will not publish your feedback or attribute it to you by name without your permission. If you would prefer your feedback to be private, just say so when you send it.
7. Confidentiality
The alpha is invitation-only. Please do not share your invitation link, screenshots, or unreleased features outside your household without checking with us first. We will be clear when something is ready to talk about publicly.
8. Ending your participation
You can stop taking part in the alpha at any time by closing your account from the parent dashboard or by emailing us. We can also remove a household from the alpha at any time, for example if these Terms are breached or if we need to scale the alpha down. On ending your participation we will delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to these Beta Terms
We may update these Beta Terms as the alpha progresses. When we do, we will tell the parent account holder by email and post a banner inside the app.
